In October 2016, our Radiation Oncology nurse began facilitating monthly breast cancer support group meetings. Medical guest speakers presented valuable information on the signs, symptoms and treatment of breast cancer. However, after each meeting, we found ourselves huddling outside the building sharing our individual journeys of how breast cancer and it's treatment affected us and our families on a daily basis. 

After several meetings, our nurse could no longer facilitate the meetings as she was returning to school to further her education.  By this time, we'd developed a bond and needed to stay together so we decided to continue meeting.

This is how My Pink Sisters began and we continue to meet every month to support and lift each other up.

We were blessed to have been brought together by our nurse and we continue to give her the credit and honor for this life changing gift of sisterhood. And by the way, she returned to college and is now an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner!  Thank you Felecia Sanchious, ARNP!
